Your heartbeat. Your respiration. The ability to sleep when you close your eyes. Thirst. Hunger.
One of those things is now gone.
Autonomica is a building the size of an entire continent, a maze of staircases and rooms and lobbies where potted plants touch the ceilings and artificial waterfalls trickle down metallic cliffs. You awake here because there is something fundamentally wrong with you. You awake here because you are missing something that keeps you from being alive in the real world.
If you ever want to go home, you must get it back.
If you need a pulse, you must take someone's heart.
If you need to breathe, you must steal someone's breath.
If you need to sleep, you must keep someone else awake for a very, very long time.
Autonomica is a sandbox that encourages freedom via organ theft and murder. Characters can remain alive despite their missing biological functions, but they cannot return home. The setting is a singular building that spans several hundred miles. Autonomica is filled with every possible amenity, so of course, you can stay if you'd like -- just make sure your neighbors are interested in staying, too.
